Lodges in the Central Kalahari

Haina Kalahari Lodge

This is situated in the central Kalahari, bordering on the Kalahari Game Reserve. It is about 30km north of Deception Valley.  The ambience is typically African.  The lodge accommodates 18 guests, in private units.  Each has a private deck with a bedroom and en suite bathroom.  Complimentary tea and coffee will be provided.  Queen size beds with additional singles are available.  The beds are covered with percale linen and mosquito nets.  Available to all visitors is a sundeck, a bar and a boma eating area.  Traditional Bushmen dancing entertains the visitors.
There are 7 luxury tents and 3 superior luxury tents.  Both prices include all meals and activities.

Prices

Prices in low season for the luxury tents are around R2000 for single and per person sharing.  For superior luxury the price comes to around R2500 for single and per person sharing.  Luxury during high season costs around R3000 for single and per person sharing and superior luxury is R4000 for single and per person sharing.

Kanana Wilderness Motswiri Lodge

This is located in Ghanzi Central Kalahari.  This is in the middle of the Kalahari Game Reserve.  It has luxury-tented accommodation overlooking the Seribe Pan
Activities include game drives, wilderness walks, quad biking, bird viewing, horse riding, rhino stalking and giraffe stalking (the latter two both with a bushman guide).

Grasslands Safari Lodge

Located in northern Ghanzi, this lodge offers a unique location, vast land size and great management. This creates ample opportunities to see large amounts of game.  For a great cultural experience, there is a san village very close to the lodge.  There are boat safari trips where camping and bird watching is done on the islands. This can only be done in August and September when the river is high enough.  Cost is around 500 dollars per person.

Grasslands offers four well-furnished chalets with en suite bathrooms, beds, closets and dresser amenities.  Each chalet has hot water, and laundry is done for you every day at no extra cost.  Guests are provided with three meals per day, along with snacks, midday tea, dessert, cold drinks, wine and a bar.  There is a large swimming pool, and a bricked fire pit, which looks over an illuminated water pan, which the animals come to feed at during the night.
