Camps Bay – Sun, Sea and Be Seen

Camps Bay is a beautiful place with beautiful people. The turquoise sea is bordered by soft white sand and palm trees with a backdrop of the Twelve Apostles and Lion’s Head. On the beach and promenade you will see model types retaining anonymity behind dark sunglasses. The restaurants offer delicious seafood and Mediterranean cuisine, while families have a picnic in the shade of tall palm trees. If you like the seaside you will love Camps Bay!

Camps Bay Beach

The long sandy beach of Camps Bay is one of the favourites in Cape Town. The young and beautiful worship the sun or show off their skills at a game of volleyball. The water is icy-cold, but the beach is protected by granite boulders, which makes the water very calm. Towards the southern end of the beach is a tidal pool that is nice and safe for children to splash about.
The green stretch behind the beach is popular for braais (barbeques) and picnics especially with families. Towards the end of the day the restaurants and bars on the promenade start filling up as the setting sun colours the horizon in shades of red and orange.

Theatre on the Bay

The Theatre on the Bay offers a mix of local and international drama, musicals, comedy, music, dance and cabaret. The venue also has a restaurant, the Act I Theatre Café, as well as a bar which makes it very easy to combine your theatre experience with dinner or a night cap.

Accommodation in Camps Bay

Its close proximity to the city makes Camps Bay a great place to base yourself during your Cape Town holiday. The Nelson is a Camps Bay Villa right on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean. 3 Bedrooms, a large sun deck and an outdoor Jacuzzi ensure that you feel right at home. At small secluded beach right on your doorstep will be a bonus to an all round perfect holiday.
